Here is the original sketch Jeff did of the scene. He hadn't read it at that point, but just drew this from what I'd told him. I think he did a great job of capturing the feeling of the world.

This is a sketch of a scene in the book by my friend Jeff Hill. This portrays the Lily Pad Rocks at the edge of the Void. Jaena and Drake are standing there and there is a ghostly figure in the mist--besides the dragon. I love the sikatha tree on the most distant rock.
